This activity is designed for podiatrists.
Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
- List key questions one must ask in the patient history
- Discuss the use of diagnostic imaging for puncture wounds
- Cite common gram-positive organisms that are isolated in puncture wounds
- Review treatment considerations with puncture wounds that have entered deep tissue
- Assess the current research on the use of prophylactic antibiotics for the treatment of puncture wounds

NACCME is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a sponsor of continuing education in podiatric medicine.
This activity is approved for 1 continuing education contact hour or .1 CEU.
A score of 70 percent or above will comprise a passing grade. A documentation of credit will be awarded to participants who successfully complete the exam. Those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form online may immediately print their documentation of credit.
