Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
- Develop and/or implement protocols for early atrial fibrillation patient risk stratification and evaluation to ensure optimal treatment selection
- Describe the latest evidence regarding the benefits and limitations of rate versus rhythm control in atrial fibrillation management
- Explain 2006 ACC/AHA/ESC and 2007 HRS/EHRA/ECAS guideline updates and challenges associated with translating guidelines into practice
- Evaluate the benefits and limitations of atrial fibrillation medications and procedures, factoring in updated guidelines and patient characteristics to optimize outcomes
Activity Overview
