Target Audience

This activity is designed for hospital pharmacists.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:

Describe the incidence and burden of surgical bleeding in the United States
Define mechanisms of action and indications for traditional and new hemostatic treatment modalities
Outline the risk/benefit profiles of hemostatic medications and formulations
Put into practice hemostatic treatment options to effectively achieve hemostasis and optimize outcomes

Credit Eligibility

To be eligible for documentation of credit, participants must attend a full educational activity, complete the 10-question post-test with a score of 70% or better, and complete the evaluation form. Participants who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form online may immediately print their documentation of credit.
