What will be the focus
This CME-accredited symposium on rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis discusses mechanisms for increased risk of comorbidities, the cardiovascular connection, safety issues with biologics, and up-to-date efficacy data on treatments in biologic-naïve and biologic-failure patients.

Learning Objectives
Apply clinical measurement tools and imaging techniques to assess rheumatoid arthritis (RA) disease status
Discuss the clinical evidence and impact of biologic treatment plans in RA
Implement strategies to manage biologic therapy in patients with RA who experience an inadequate response
Describe the clinical presentation of psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and ankylosing spondylitis (AS)
Incorporate diagnostic and assessment methods for measuring disease activity in PsA and AS
Analyze the latest evidence on the benefits and limitations of biologic therapy in PsA and AS
Compare the occurrence of infection and malignancy inherently found in RA with those patients who are treated with
biologic and/or DMARD therapy
Describe potential mechanisms for increased risk of comorbidities in RA
Examine the cardiovascular connection in the patient with RA
