This activity is designed for managed care pharmacists.
Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify federal guidances to optimize the implementation and expansion of medication therapy management (MTM) programs
- Outline the characteristics of Medicare beneficiaries who meet high-risk, eligibility criteria for inclusion in MTM programs
- Contrast federally mandated pharmacist responsibilities and MTM-specific services for pharmacists and other providers
- Institute quality improvement measures to assist patients and providers in optimizing MTM programs
