Target Audience
This activity is designed for clinical and managed care pharmacists.
Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe the burden of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and the impact of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) on clinical and economic outcomes
- Summarize the current standards of care for patients with ACS, including preventive approaches for secondary cardiovascular events
- Outline the benefits and limitations of the use of current and emerging antiplatelet agents before, during, and after PCI
- Implement current evidence-based guidelines and standards to maximize outcomes in ACS management before, during, and after PCI
Credit Eligibility
To be eligible for documentation of credit, participants must participate in the full educational activity, complete the 10-question post-test with a score of 70% or better, and complete the evaluation form. Participants who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form online may immediately print their documentation of credit.
