Target Audience

This activity is designed for managed market physicians, pharmacists, and nurses.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the incidence and clinical and cost burden of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in the United States
  • Outline the frequent complications of GERD and the prospective long-term impact of GERD complications on overall health and quality of life
  • Define traditional methods for the diagnosis and management of GERD
  • Summarize data indicating the potential significance of early diagnosis and management of GERD to improve long-term outcomes
  • Apply the latest data to assist in implementation of early and effective strategies for the management of GERD

Credit Eligibility

To be eligible for documentation of credit, participants must attend a full teleconference event, complete the 10-question post-test with a score of 70% or better, and complete the evaluation form. Participants who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form online may immediately print their documentation of credit. Those who mail or fax back their successfully completed post-test and evaluation form will receive documentation of credit by mail within 6 weeks.
